Recently, I met up with Brenda and Paul in Anaheim and Old Towne Orange for their maternity session. As soon as I met them, I knew we’d be getting some amazing photographs. They’re both real fun and funny, and completely excited about the arrival of their baby girl. I really enjoyed taking these photos because throughout the session it was clear how in love they both were, and how happy they were to be parents. When I asked them if they were ready for the sleepless nights and dirty diapers they just smiled, looked at each other, and said, “yeah.” Congratulations guys, you’re going to be awesome parents.
I recently got to shoot Yolanda and Pedro’s San Juan Capistrano wedding where we got the chance to take pictures inside of the Mission. It was beautiful and once in, I didn’t want to leave. There were so many great spots to shoot but we only had an hour before the reception. I thought I’d try something different with this blog post. Hope you enjoy. Thanks to Miguel for letting me rock it out.
aaron: Beautiful images, B&W are dramatic and awesome!
I had a great time photographing Jenine and Alex’s engagement session at Balboa Park and Scripps Pier in San Diego. They’re so fun to be around and we got along really well. I think Alex and I bored Jenine with our gadget-talk, but thankfully it didn’t show in the photos. At the end of our session I told them that I’d be putting up some images on my blog and they said, “it’s okay if you don’t, we’re not the greatest looking people around.”
I just laughed. They’re obviously clueless to their awesomeness.
I recently met Brent, Aki, and their daughter Ava. “Adorable” is a complete understatement.

aaron: wow Mieng very sharp and nice images! she is adorable!
Jay Hsiang Studio: Oh this little lady is just too cute!
Jasmine and Paul are a cute couple. They found me through friends and it turns out, Jasmine and I went to high school together! It was like finding a long lost relative and as we spent the day in shooting in Laguna Beach, we chatted about our old neighborhood while comparing notes on who knew whom. They’re happily awaiting the arrival of their “Cadbury” - a nickname used in place of “the baby” or “it” because they decided to be old-fashioned and be surprised when he or she arrives. Congratulations you two.

Lisa Hon: LOVE LOVE LOVE the pictures Mieng. Thank you again!
Jaimie Dee - Atlanta Wedding Photographer: Supppper cute!! Might sound kinda odd, but I like the ones with their heads chopped off the best! ;) It's just such a universal feel, that it could be anyone!
